Biography

I have a teacher education degree in Mathematics that I got at State University of the Central West, in my home country Brazil, in 2016. I finished my master degree in Mathematics in 2020 at Federal University of Paraná, Brazil. In my master dissertation, I worked on the design, analysis and implementation of nonmonotone derivative-free methods for nonlinear equations, with potential use in Machine Learning.

Motivation: I am interested in topics related to theory of optimization and machine learning. This PhD is a great opportunity to expand my knowledge beyond that acquired in my Master in Mathematics and acquire a lot of background to pursue a career as a researcher.

Hobbies: In my spare time, I like to go out with friends, visit new places, listen to music and watch series.
