Biography

I was born in Pavia, Italy in 1996. In 2018 I completed my Bachelor in Mathematics at the University of Pavia and I decided to continue my studies there with a Master in Applied Mathematics. I finished my master in 2020 with final dissertation on "Opial property in Wasserstein spaces and applications".

Motivation: During my studies I met advanced optimization techniques in courses about Optimization and Calculus of variations, which sparked a passion. Moreover, I was fascinated by the course "Statistical Learning Theory" which introduced me to Big Data problems. This interest has continued throughout the last two years of my master and has also influenced my master thesis. I’ve seen many topics from a theoretical point of view and now I'm eager to investigate some applications. In addition, I am excited for the international experience and new perspectives.

Hobbies: I really enjoy strategic board games and chess. I like sports. I played football for a long time and now I am in love with basketball.
